I already know what happens in the 6th book. I accidentally read it on a forum somewhere. I think that the 6th one ends on such a bad note, only to make the 7th and final book that much better.

I enjoyed the movies too. Just after I finished the 3rd book, I went downstairs and watched the 3rd movie that I had previously recorded on our Tivo. It was good.

And though I've got like 150 pages left of the 4th book, (which I'll probably finish today), I really can't wait for the 4th movie.

Edit: And now is probably a really good time to start reading them. Because once you finish one of the books, you'll be quite glad that you can carry onto the next one, without having to wait 2 years. Though this isn't the case for the 6th book.
