OMC9: Chiaroscuro

Chiaroscuro. Contrast of light with shadow. Songs that have both sides to them, the evil or vicious things that are also somehow beautiful and fragile. This is another largely interpretive theme, so songs with a contrast or duality is something to shoot for, but not necessarily a rigid guideline. Interpret it as you see fit. Songs should be over 2 mins this time, or they will be alternates.

Songs will be due Thursday, December 28th at 11pm EST.

This month should have been known as the Shawn Phase OMC EP, haha. And the votes were so close again! The retagged songs and new pages will be up soon.

Next month's theme is...well, there isn't a next month yet. I need to do some other projects and I would like to clean up OMC's pages a bit, but I haven't had time. In addition, interest has been dwindling quite a bit recently so I might announce a new theme soon and make the due date in 2 months or so...or I might wait awhile. Regardless, it'll be back, just not right away.

Thanks to everyone this month and the past year for making this competition enjoyable to me and fun to listen to. And here's hoping to a good 2007.

yeah and now that ive wasted money on recording equipment and school is almost out, i feel like recording shit (if i EVER figure out how to make a decent "forbidden beat" in fruity loops)

its the same response essentially.

i do intend to bring it back but i wanted to do site cleanup and revise some rules but the interest went from moderate to zero pretty fast.

maybe i'll try to fix 'er up and at least make a tenth one.
