Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

The 4th Harry Potter movie comes out Friday. I've been looking forward to seeing this movie since I finished the book this summer, and in my opinion, the 4th book is the best in the series. So hopefully the movie will reflect that too.

Here's a link to some sites that are hosting the trailer.

i saw it last night... i think it's by far the worst of the bunch as far as jumpiness and just being genereally episodic (empire strikes back got away with the latter, but this didn't). my girlfriend says that's because they had to chop the book (something like 750 pages) up quite a bit to fit it into two and a half hours... which means it's only gonna get worse from here since the books only get longer.

eep.

also, the acting seems to have gotten worse. that, or it's just more noticeable when the actors arn't "kids" anymore.

I'd have to say that's probably it...

Although, if they keep using the same people, it would be kinda funny to see the cast continue their roles for another ten years...potter would be some chain smokin fool, the red head would have tattoos all over, and that girl would probably have a lot of stretchmarks...where you ask? I can't say where...

The Goblet of Fire book is the 2nd longest in the series, the 5th book, Order of the Phoenix is the longest. The newest book isn't even as long as Goblet of Fire.

Why doesn't Goblet of Fire get away with being episodic?

I mean, it is part of a series.

I've not seen any of the movies or read any of the books. The actor who plays Harry sorta annoys me, and yea last I saw him on TV he wasn't exactly a kid.

And in case you havn't heard... Harry Potter is satan's work.

I haven't seen this movie yet, but for me it's not about the movies anyhow. I love the books. It sounds like kidstuff and it is, but they're really fun, easy reads. I recommend them...anyone read the new one yet? If you follow the books this one opens up a whole new world! (shut up.)

And the reason it's ok that the kids are aging so fast in the movies is...thats the way it is in the novels. Every book marks another year in their lives, and, they are teenagers, after all.
