any tubesters use twitter?

seriously, explain to me the appeal of Twitter. Maybe because I'm working too much and don't have time to try it, but I just don't understand.

twitter is just a easy way to keep up with people. it's like this: you have the status updates and commenting/messaging system of something like facebook or myspace, and do away with all of the other junk. y'know, i just don't care what score somebody got on some stupid quiz, if my friends are fans of this or that group, and 9 times out of 10 i don't want to see other peoples picture albums, be updated about their latest breakup, or send people facebook gifts. and the list goes on! too much mindless fluff. twitter is just simple communication, i think. i made a facebook account before i went overseas, just to stay in touch with a few people, but it's starting to feel so overwhelming. a service like twitter seems to be the better way :)

I use Twitter. I tried to get into last summer, but none of my friends had it, and none of them would give it a chance. Now it seems everybody is on it, so I've since started using it again.
