layer cake
 

i just saw layer cake, the new movie by some of the guys who worked on "lock, stock, and two smoking barrels" and "snatch" and i gotta say that it's a damn fine brit gangster movie. it doesn't seem to be as deceptive and the payoff isn't as huge as snatch's, but it's quite a good caper and i recommend it highly to anyone who liked the other two. as usual, fantastic cinematography and editing which is a cornerstone of these types of movies, as well as fantastic acting. violent as fuck, too, but that goes without saying.

at least guy ritchie wasn't involved. his career's seemingly gone down the shitter. i take it this just came out in theaters then?

i've seen no advertising for it whatsoever. i enjoyed snatch, never saw lock stock.

i downloaded it... it's been out on dvd in england for a while now, and i believe it comes out in nyc/la this week.

i could possibly share it if the need arrises, though i think i can find the torrent i got it from again.
