4 Months since the site change, what do you think?

i really like the direction, i think we need something to make us stand out though. something that people will search for, find, and come here and post.

Not much activity, I don't think there ever will be. I like having it around and it's pretty much done what I expected. I still persist that the "new member' was a fraud.

I like the new looking site, looks quite spiffy,

It's brighter than it used to be, Thats good.

The frontpage looks nice...I wander about a couple other sites that have similar setups, seems to work well.

A really eager person to join a forum of people who have known each other for roughly five or six years (or so)... The person pretends as if "this is really weird, but I just want to check it out..." to give a veil of honesty and to answer the question of "why would anybody even care." The poster has suspisciously dropped off the face of the Earth. It would be very fitting for that poster to either reply to this topic telling me she is real or make a new topic about "where she was for so long!!!" I frankly think that it was Jep ... the posts read like contrived Jep posts, where Jep tries to be something that he/she isn't (see the drunk thread for one). They're not convincing. Jep was also mysteriously absent for the first couple of days of that post, appearing later on to congradulate the member, or whatever. I think that this was a cunning trick ... often times pseudonyms are given away because the person who is pulling the trick responds quickly ... So in this case, the person with the fake name did not post in that thread for a while and then came back randomly to reply. Though to Jep's credit, he hasn't been as active as usual... so yeah.

I have a useless knack at seeing such things for what they are... another that persisted for years and duped the extended community of TTT... I was so vigilante in that one but then gave up. I recently looked back into it and my original assumptions (which really were discoveries and evidence, at the time) were right. I am not going to reveal what I am talking about... people can guess if they'd like but its futile.

This, dear friend, is why I persist.

As for the rest of the post...there is stuff like this on every board. At least, every male dominated board. Once in awhile a guy wants some attention or somesuch thing, and decides to act like a girl. Then when a legitimate girl does come along and choses an obvious effeminate name, nobody else believes them.

A lot of girls who join boards that they know are predominantly male choose a neutral name. I think my first name when joining...what was it, one of the old old old Interact boards, my original name was Rogue something.

Anyway, there isn't really an easy way to tell if it's a real girl or just some dude trying to be one. There is of course, if they log off their male name then onto the female name, obviously they're going to be on the same IP and administrators will likely be able to see what they're doing. That, and the female personality will normaly go dormat for good, or at least for a long time, after the guy loses interest.

From the various boards I've wandered around, at least, thats what I've experienced.

raditz's theory? ahem, sorry but that was my theory before i even told rad about this board. since then it has changed i now believe jen was pretending to be a boy to gain cred. with a bunch of guys. then again damon might just be like jep and like pretending to be a girl for long periods of time.

edit: oh yeah and ive used proxy's before to lie about who i am on a board (but in this case it wasnt me). also i was the one to vote no, i just knew everyone would vote yes and no votes were made yet so i thought id be different.
