I want to ride my bicycle

Any of you dudes do any 'cycling? I need some advice on bike purchases. I'm gonna get a montain bike soon, possibly today. What's some good brands to look for in the $100-250 range?

i like to ride my bike. once i move closer to downtown this fall, i'll probably ride it most places that i want to go instead of using the ttc.

i have had a giant mountain bike for many years now, and i like it alot. my bike was higher than yer price range, though, and i'm not really sure how much their bikes cost these days.. but it's something to consider.

Biking around london has been one of my favourite things to do since i got here. I've got a Norco, but i don't know anything about bikes, my dad just brought it home one day.

Yeah I wish there was more usefulness in having a bike where I live. There's some awesome back roads to ride on, but as far as getting around town there's really only two places I go to in town. Any other place I go is too far for bike riding.

well I bought a Mongoose mountain bike. i couldn't find reviews of the bikes that were available, but the lower end mongoose bikes tended to get better reviews that schwinn bikes.

i rode about 2 miles after i got it and i'm pooped now. i wish i wasn't so out of shape!

I just bought a $20 garage sale bike recently. It just needed new tires+tubes and it runs great. It's a road bike and that all i need right now. still getting used to it being so light though.

Previously I had a giant hybrid bike which my brother gets now. i liked the tires cause they looked fancy =X

i've never taken a road bike for a ride before.. i'm not sure that those skinny tires would work out for me.

i dunno. i can't find a pic of my bike anyway. but i got it at costco for like... $190 and it should've (from what the guy at the bike store told me) probably cost me over $500. it's kinda a road-mountain hybrid. i can't explain. once i get my new camera (which there will be a post about once i get it) i'll take a picture of the goddamn thing.

but yeah. bikes are great. my primary mode of transportation.

Reason why I dont like bikes and riders of said bikes...

1. One of the main modes of transportation for clowns, the most evil and vile things on the planet earth, is the bicycle, or tricycle, or unicycle all of which are just different forms of the same unholy machine known as a bike.

2. Anything with a wheel of spikes so close to ones own calf shouldn't be legal.

3. Those damn seats are an anal intrusion just waiting to happen, on top of that how do your unmentionables feel after a long ride on that thing if anyone dares to say good...then you've got problems and should seek medical attention.

4. How do those damn chains keep falling off and why the hell are they so god damn dirty, and your know your always wearing a white shirt when they pop off.

5. The fucking clowns, again. I hate them and dont want you to forget that...

6. Drivers hate bikers, even if your a biker and your driving you hate the biker persons because they make you have to move just within a hair of the car in the opposing lane, so you hold a grudge for all the times that they make you do that. Then, just once you wish you could make them go off the road!

7. The bikers outfits are redonkulous, since when was spandex cool? and making the spandex into shorts so you can show off how white your legs truely are...just crazy that is reason enough to hate bikes right there.

8. I lost a bike race on my birthday 4/20 at the tragically young age of 9-12(I dont really remember) but this probably the only real reason I dont like bikes and riders. Selfish, childish, completely and utterly biased, and perhaps even impish of me I know but hey we all gotta hate something might as well be cycling.

Opps I almost for got this reason...

9. Babies, smell!

my chain never falls off.

if it were too loose, or the derailer was fucked up.. but everything is in working order on my bicycle.

ol' optimus is a runner anyway, he is biased towards this cursed technology and transportation thing. he didnt get his license till he was 18, and he avoids the internet like it's made by voodoo priests. he refused to get a cell phone because it was conforming to the man, then bought one and chooses to never answer it.
