Need a new pair of shoes...

running shoes to be exact.

the ugly bastards below are officially 6 years old this year, and while being a reliable shoe for six years (none of my shoes usually last more than a year to 18 months), they are starting to cut up my feet whenever i run. i'm sitting here nursing bloody pinky toes as we speak.

so my question is, to those of you athletic oriented: whats a good, reasonably priced shoe for running? i havent shopped for real, effective shoes in years and i really don't want to/can't afford to spend a ton of money.

suggestions would be great.
