[Plain Old Jane]

I also wrote a poem about whales, am I dorky yet?

This is a story about Jerry,
He's a very big whale,
He loves climbing trees and Flying kites,
But most of all Jerry likes heights.

You see, Jerry wishes he could fly,
Since he was a little whale pup,
He wished he could fly when he grows up,
He's tried many a time with not much result,
He's tried wax wings, and wooden stilts,
He's tried attaching balloons and burping a lot,
He's tried gluing feathers to his ass,
But to no avail, Jerry could not fly.

Then one night, Jerry was crying quietly,
And he looked up to the sky and saw the stars brightly,
Then he realized that he soared through a sky nightly,
A sky made of water, and this caused Jerry to kick and dance
And jump and splash through the water, all the while smiling.

Smiling everywhere he went, the whale soared through his sky,
All the other whales called him "Jerry the Flying Whale!"
And he was a happy whale!

Until one day he got shot in the eye with a harpoon,
Now they call him, "Jerry the One-Eyed Whale."
He mostly just talks to himself and swims into things now...

We don't like to talk about him much...
