I think it's just a necessary precaution to avoid confusion, Donnie. Not all the numbers in that quantity are valid... meaning, there aren't actually 9,999,999,999,999,999 numbers that your console could have. All of the legitament numbers have been preloaded into each system, so if you mess up and enter in a number incorrectly, the system will tell you that it's not a valid number. So who knows how many of those numbers are actually valid, but I don't even think 1/10,000 of them would be.
