Here's the deal with Disney...
I put up a website about 6 months ago (
www.donstinsonmusic.com, if you want to check it out) to basically advertise (whore myself out). A representative from Disney on Ice calls me to play fanfares for the Princess Show (yeah it's a princess Ice show, but it's money). I tell them that I am not sure I am able to do it, because of a scheduling conflict. Well, turns out five minutes later that I realize I am able to do it. I call them right back, but they already found someone within five minutes. So, I asked her, curiously, how much this would have paid. And then I cry as I hear that payment was $500.00 plus dinner for one half of an hour of music.
As for other Disney curses, I got a job playing the trumpet part for the musical Beauty and the Beast. On the way to the opening night show, a woman in her big ass towncar decides that she doesn't want to wait to turn left, even though she does not have a protected arrow. T-bones me as I am crossing the intersection, and totals my car. They found her completely at fault, but I still blame Disney.
