TTT's E3 Extensive Coverage!
Or just a thread about it.
So far, Sony and Nintendo have done their press conference, microsoft is coming up next. Highlights for Sony: -MGS4 was shown, looks absolutely amazing for fans of the series. -GT4 running in high res on PS3 -NEW WARHAWK! YES! -Tilting feature in the controller (oh my, how original) -No rumble feature (due to the lawsuit in progress?) -Controller now pretty much looks the same as ps2 controller, but wireless -Two Prices: $500 for 20GB and limited functions, $600 for 60GB and full function -PSP now able to download PS1 games, uses for PS3 include rear view mirror in racing games (seems kinda like a waste) -Interesting EyeToy game shown -New Naughty Dog game that looks pretty amazing -November 2006 release Highlights for Nintendo: -Wii Sports games look like A LOT of fun -Red Steel and its innovative FPS/controller usage -SUPER MARIO GALAXY -Zelda for GC/Wii/DS (wii functionality looks great!) -Yoshi's Island 2(!!!), Diddy Kong Racing, and Starfox DS for DS! -Ouendan for DS is coming to the US with some wacky name (Elite Beat Agents). I hope they keep the music intact -Metroid Prime 3 for Wii (though the graphics for the first two were great anyway, so this didnt really shock) -speaker in the controller sounds so cool when used -Mario Basketball looks amazingly good on the DS -conducting game looks crazy and awesome for DS -Excite...truck? looks like hydro thunder a little bit actually. -no mention of price, Q4 2006 release -no mention of virtual console games will have some microsoft highlights and comments later. maybe. |

Yeah..it's nice to see all the new stuff..eagerly awaiting the PS3 release (although, not looking forward to the price tag..), probably wait a year or two to get the PS3..just like I did with the PS2.
That way, all the cool games of today will then be at the cheapass price of yesterday. |
$600 for the fully functional PS3 console..includes support of hd-dvd, 60gb hard drive, and a monstrously huge e-peen (I spent $600 on a console!!#@$), or, $500 for the less functional version..meaning, you only get a 20gb hard drive, no wireless support, and no hdmi.
Wow, I knew it wasn't going to be cheap, but, I didn't think it'd be a $600 release point. I'm getting a wii! |

That's great.
