If I had known that I'd get paid TODAY (weekend of the trip) I would have gone, but, I didn't think I'd be getting paid til the Monday after this weekend.

I really wanted to go too. I can't go now, because a friend is coming to visit me for the weekend, and I'm going to look at a car, so, I'm gonna have to go next year.
