I am a huge dork, today in microbio, I said the most dorky thing ever. In reference to macromolecules, I happened to say while explaining them to my lab partner that "Amino Acids" are my favorite macromolecules. And then, I realized I'm a huge dork for having a favorite macromolecule.

any thoughts on this torrid subject?

This is a story about Jerry,
He's a very big whale,
He loves climbing trees and Flying kites,
But most of all Jerry likes heights.

You see, Jerry wishes he could fly,
Since he was a little whale pup,
He wished he could fly when he grows up,
He's tried many a time with not much result,
He's tried wax wings, and wooden stilts,
He's tried attaching balloons and burping a lot,
He's tried gluing feathers to his ass,
But to no avail, Jerry could not fly.

Then one night, Jerry was crying quietly,
And he looked up to the sky and saw the stars brightly,
Then he realized that he soared through a sky nightly,
A sky made of water, and this caused Jerry to kick and dance
And jump and splash through the water, all the while smiling.

Smiling everywhere he went, the whale soared through his sky,
All the other whales called him "Jerry the Flying Whale!"
And he was a happy whale!

Until one day he got shot in the eye with a harpoon,
Now they call him, "Jerry the One-Eyed Whale."
He mostly just talks to himself and swims into things now...

We don't like to talk about him much...

yeah, hah, you're definitely a microbiology nerd... there's nothing like realizing you're specialized in a field when you realize you've become emotionally involved in its structures or when you start making esoteric jokes. I'm definitely a philosophy nerd. I made up the name of a philosophy story I wrote about Platonic forms and their subsequent treatment by Plotinus while i was walking home from school:
"My love for her Forms was Neoplatonic, which is to say... Metaphysical".

Prize for anyone who can tell me the 4 levels on which that's funny.
