When I lived in Alabama we had to go to liquor stores for liquor. I move to the west coast and I can leave Ralphs or Food For Less with any alcoholic liquid I could imagine.

Most of Sam Adams' beers are over-rated, but the White Ale and their Winter Lager are my favorites.

I 100% agree. Some of their special brews are nice (White, Winter, Summer, etc...), but most of it just doesn't do it for me, especially the plain old Sam Adams.

Mike 04-23-2006 09:54 PM

They have very smart marketing ... and if you asked like 80% of people to name a Microbrewery, they'd name Sam Adams ... even though they haven't been a Microbrewery in like 20 years. The requirement for being a Microbrewery is like 12,000 barrels a year... they make like 2 million each month.

And their beer isn't very good, it's a slight step above cheap piss.

Mr Biglesworth 04-23-2006 09:57 PM

I'll have a Sam Adams
You know its 9am, and you have two outstanding DUI's
Yeah but I need something to wash the taste of weed and hooker spit out of my mouth
....I'll get a Sam Adams too

(that's all I know of it... but white ale sounds good)

Mike 04-23-2006 10:05 PM

It's a Heffeweisen, not a very good one, but better than some of their other beers.

boo. sam's quite good. you've never had cheap piss before or you would know its much closer to some other miserable beers on the market.

right now i'm enjoying a red cap ale with some salty pretzels. red cap is good and stubbies are cool.

Stormy 04-29-2006 12:08 AM

A nice, relatively simple concotion: cut one pear into small pieces, and place in one-two cups of sherry. Soak for a few hours in the 'fridge. After enough time, pour sherry sans pears into a glass, mix 1:1 with applejuice, sprinkle with pear pieces/slices for aesthetic element. Cinammon optional.

thecreeper 05-07-2006 03:03 AM

Chimay - Unfiltered, great taste, mmmmmmmm

Shiner Bock - Very smooth, great taste, but still retains the dark beer flavor.

Smithwicks - Love the Irish Red Ale!

My fall back beers are as follows:

Killians

Rogue Dead Guy Ale

raublekick 06-06-2006 10:40 PM

beer is the only thing we have on those damned japs!

i haven't had a tasty brew in a while, i've been longing for some lionshead though.

Liss 06-07-2006 09:46 AM

Last night, I drank about a pot of coffee with half a bottle of Amarula. Anyone else ever had it? I discovered it in South Africa, where it originates. It's good, sweet, great in coffee, kind of like Baileys. Then my wrist was hurting so I took a lortab, and watched 10 episodes of Family Guy with guy friends (and two episodes of Ren and Stimpy), and couldn't stand up straight, and baked cupcakes. And here I am at 7:45 AM, skipping class even though I got up for it, still thinking about the 23 year old fucker who is dating my 17 year old sister and the various ways I want to murder him and detach his testicles.

I could go for a coldbeer. Yessir.

He told her to keep it a secret from me...I mean, I've known him much longer then she has (like, as in, she was in 5th grade when we met). But word gets around and it's not going to be a good feeling for him when he finds out I know.

Do you guys date underage girls?

thecreeper 06-08-2006 11:03 PM

totally. my girlfriend is like 8 months younger than me.

raublekick 06-09-2006 10:34 AM

I only date girls that have the same birthday as me. I was pretty much in love with a girl who's birthday was the day before mine, but things just didn't work out.

GT2000 06-09-2006 01:21 PM

Ouch, burn that fucker at the stake i say!

Anna and I are 13 months apart.

Mike 06-11-2006 11:55 PM

My girlfriend and I are a month apart, or so.

Mr Biglesworth 06-12-2006 08:58 PM

I dated a 16 year old when I was 19, but we were cerebral equals. She had been involved in someone who was like 29 before I came along. I don't know... I don't see these things necessarily as evil. 17 is old enough to date a 23 year old jerk

Marshall 06-13-2006 07:02 AM

I dated a 16 yr old for a little bit and that ended pretty quickly. I think 17 is my limit but older is preferred. I just feel weird when I go "oh this is my date" "How old is she?" "17..."

that and 17 is possibly still in highschool which weirds me out because the kids that were freshmen when I was a senior just graduated this year. Which would mean when I was a senior, she would have been in 8th grade.

raublekick 06-13-2006 08:57 AM

the age gap doesn't bother me so much, but i can't fathom dating girls who are still in highschool now since i could be a college graduate. it's just like... completely different attitudes and stuff.

there's this girl now who i think i have a good chance with, and she's 20 but she looks really young. even that bothers me.

did I mention he deals coke?

It would be one thing if I knew him to be a good guy. I myself have been involved with, uh, much older men. However, since I was 14 I've known this guy to use and abuse girls, drive drunk, sleep around, and talk about his girlfriends like they're dirt. He's the type of guy I myself would never date (although up to this point, I'll admit that we were semi-friends, co-workers).

I just had to watch my cousin get pregnant at 17 and have a child to a drug dealer fathering his baby from jail. And my best friend was pregnant at 18 and now has a newborn and a ten year old step-child. And of the ten of my colorguard girls from high school, five have children. I have enough "nephews" and "nieces" for now---I can't handle it happening to my baby sister.

Mr Biglesworth 06-13-2006 01:54 PM

gotcha
