well, since this seems to be a two person discussion, what was your favorite part? i have to say the whole fight scene set to one winged angel was pretty amazing. the last 30 minutes are just ridiculous.

testtubebaby 10-07-2005 11:33 AM

advent children rocked... got it the day it distroed (along with last order). as far as best parts go, i'm partial to tifa's fight in the church and pretty much anything reno and rude do ever.

raublekick 10-07-2005 11:45 AM

tifa's fight was great. i think my favorite part was when all of the party members start showing up, like when Denzel runs up to Bahamut and you think he's toast... but then you see an arm cannon pop into view. i mean, the whole fight against Bahamut was awesome, but it's pretty much the second half of the film.

thecreeper 10-24-2005 11:16 AM

i just saw Stay last night, by the guy who did Finding Neverland and Monsters Ball. It was really fucking confusing. Great camera work and some excellent music in places, but the story was really, really hard to follow.

testtubebaby 10-26-2005 05:44 PM

it looked too much like the sixth sense for me to be interested in... so, was i right?

johnny 10-26-2005 06:56 PM

i finally got around to watching star wars episode ii yesterday because i thought i should see it before i check out episode iii. it weren't too bad; yoda's pretty fucking wild, bouncing off the walls and shit and throwing that lightning shit straight back at that count dooku dude. also natalie portman was looking as good as ever.

Optimus Funk 10-26-2005 07:36 PM

Settling down for a solid night of some kick ass Van Damme movie watching, with a few six packs some friends(including rauble and artmead if they are too ashamed to say they are watching this), vodka, tequila, and gin. Oh and did I mention VAN DAMME!!!!!! Belgium rules!!!!

johnny 10-26-2005 08:01 PM

lionheart on the teevee, or some other movie?

GT2000 10-26-2005 08:43 PM

a bit. it was like a strange mix of vanilla sky and sixth sense with a bit more style of its own. the cinematography is beautiful, i just wish the story made more logical sense to me. there's too many disparate elements that are cohesive in my mind. maybe if i saw it again i could follow better. i don't know.

testtubebaby 10-28-2005 07:00 PM

i just saw high tension. gotta say, i was expecting much better... one twist at the ending that was pretty much the same as "hide and seek". nothing too fantastic here by any stretch

yeah, you don't.

testtubebaby 11-04-2005 06:42 PM

my blockbuster refuses to offer land of the day...

so, i rented the village. i don't like it as much as his other stuff... my favorite is signs.

thecreeper 11-04-2005 06:52 PM

i thought signs was by far his cheesiest work. it was ok, but he built a plot he couldnt resolve without it coming off stupid or lame.

i still think unbreakable is his best work.

testtubebaby 11-05-2005 10:47 AM

just finished watching the warriors... it was alright, i guess. good for a cult classic.

GT2000 11-05-2005 10:59 AM

Watched wedding crashers lastnight, some parts were hil-fucking-larious.

GT2000 11-05-2005 09:41 PM

George Carlin's new standup special, Life is Worth Losing, is on HBO right now..it's fucking great!

wildbilld 11-17-2005 12:55 PM

Ahhh I haven't seen anything from george in a long time. Right now i am hooked on Family guy and two and a half men both great shows. Anything with comedy is good and sometimes I like to watch CSI

raublekick 03-12-2006 12:00 AM

Hella - Concentration Face, a two part DVD of their 2004 Japan tour. I watched the first half, which is a compilation of the first 4 nights. On night 3, Zack, the drummer, sprains his ankle in the middle of the set, and then is backon for night 4. This guy is the most intense drummer ever.
