The problem I have is why you need a ring in the first place. It's like "I don't trust you enough to take your word for it, buy me a ring". Or from the guys perspective "I can buy you a ring, baby, stay with me".

i suprised her with the ring she didnt ask me to get it for her. we already have intention to stay together the ring was just a gift to make her happy. most jewlers take back promise rings at 100% cost to go towards the cost of an engagent ring. so basically its like a down payment on a engagement ring and she gets something for her finger till then. its understood if we should break up (wich i dont see happening any time soon) she will give the ring back. by understood i mean i said "if we break up i get the ring and laptop back, bitch"
