I'm in phone class all this week.. finally going to work on twisted pair after putting it off for years..
Wanted to continue to play the drums on it and work my way to hard difficulty, if I can manage 4-5 stars on all songs @ medium. I haven't even plugged in the Mic yet..heh. |
I just got a caller from Lancaster, PA.
Made me think of some of the members here. |
Even though you just started, what which piece of equipment are you getting the most calls for?
Too many people hitting the drums like they're hammering a nail? |

We get calls for EVERYTHING. Whammy bar not working, guitars not going into overdrive, cracked drums, snapped foot pedals, faulty strum bars, mics not working, USB hub not working. You name it. One of the most ridiculous calls I've had was an older lady bought Rock Band for her grandchildren, but the drums are too loud, and they're giving her a headache. And then she went on to demand the name of the person that designed the drums, because they designed them wrong, and that person is ignorant. I was dumbfounded, I had no idea what to say. She couldn't understand why these drums had to make noise if it was all electronic. So I was like, "Well, Ma'am, they are drums, so you have to use a certain amount of force to hit them to trigger the electronic sensor", "Nope, you guys made them wrong." Most of the time everybody's pretty cool. Nobody gets real bitchy except for the women. A few have blown up at me because of shipping errors, so they've had to wait like, 2 months get their new peripheral, and it's the wrong one, or for the wrong system. Then they just lose it. It's not bad though. The real pissed of people make the job interesting. |
Yeah.. you've got it nice and easy, as I tell my friend who works in the call center for the same company as I do.. sure people will blow up over the phone more so than when they're talking to you face to face.. but when they blow up at you face to face.. hell yeah, that shit's fun.
All of my equipment is working fine, drums sometimes don't respond when hit, but that's just an occasional thing.. and I haven't tried the mic out still.. so who knows if it works. |
ive been trying to figure out if my gfs strum bar (string?) is working right. it seems to have no spring to it, very mushy, makes it hard (impossible) to play anything that requires quick strums repeatedly. i dont have this problem with my gh3 guitar. i dont have another rock band guitar to compare it, has anyone else noticed this or is her guitar defective?

Nope. We send you shipping labels and all that shit. I'm off for about a week, cause I'm going to California for spring break.

Dude, I hate the Rock Band instruments. The guitar is junk, and the drums... they're okay, but they're kinda nonresponsive at times.
I still think the best instrument Red Octane ever made was the PS2 guitar. How could they get it so right the first time and fuck up every time afterwards? |
