And let's say this friend let his driver's license expire nearly 4 months ago. let's say this 'Optimus' had been driving with an expired license for 3 months before he lost his entire wallet and his old license reading on a rock near a creek. let's say this friend could simply go to the driver's license center less than 10 minutes from his house and simply get a new license for 25 bucks, and you have tried every weekend this summer to make him go, except every time you go to get him, he has escaped to work or into thin air. without this license, you are now forced to treat 'Optimus' as an underage drinker and buy all his alcohol for him, and we can only go to bars where he knows the bartender.

let's say this friend also has a bad habit of losing his cellphone, and happened to responsibly take his current damaged cellphone in for a replacement. the store replaced his phone and it has been sitting there for 2 weeks, which is also less than 10 minutes from his house, and he has not gone to get that. as a result, 'Optimus' is now impossible to get ahold of.

this is not due to lack of time or his job. this 'Optimus' is just a baffling human specimen.

what would you think of this 'Optimus' character?

hmm... i can't quite nail down who you are talking about...

why, this optimus fellow sounds like quite the free spirit. a modern day warrior, with a mean, mean stride. today's tom sawyer, what with his mean, mean pride!
