has anyone played this yet... i like it, but it certainly isn't the amazing title i thought it would be. seems kinda like super mario bros. 3d (meaning that it's a lot like super mario bros. 3, now with 3dish graphics). doesn't really hold a candle to the masterpiece that is super mario world.

i didn't think so at first, but i absolutely love it now. i'm slowly on my way to 3-starring the game, and going back and really exploring the levels has been a blast.

it's a perfect blend of 1, 3, World, and 64.

i just hit world 8...in super mario bros 3. i have to say, these mario advance re-releases are a lot of fun. a good primer for NSMB.

oh wow eh
if i wanted to play mario 3 i'd do the ol' nintendo blow on the cartridge thats bigger than the entire dsl instead of spending more money on old games. is it really that hard to make a fuckin new mario game that they have to rehash the ones from 20 years ago?

fuck, this game was so easy. it's like it was made for children or something.
maybe ill buy mario 64 ds and get all 128 stars again. duno why i sold that game... still have my trusty dusty ol' n64.
anyone ever beat mario 2 without cheating or without saving in mario allstars? that game was fuckin hard without any continues.

I beat mario 2 without continues.

I got really really good at mario games, i dont understand it.
I went through NSMB in about 4 hours or so. I beat it the day i got it which disappointed me a bit. It was still fun.

I used to take my SP to classes and play mario 3. I can beat the game in about 12 minutes now. I can run through the original in about 15.

yeah, complaining about NSMB being easy is pretty much a null statement to me. they are all pretty easy and can be beaten rather quickly. but they are all mega fun and well worth playing over and over and over.

i just beat mario 3 over the weekend for the first time. i have to say, it's probably my favorite one of the big 4 (mario bros 1-3, mario world). i do wish it had some more secrets though like mario world. once you beat the game, it's pretty much over. and i dont have an e-reader, so i can't unlock any of the secret levels.

i beat mario 3 this morning on my nes. 8) but i still think super mario world is the best. also, yoshi's island holds a special place in my heart. i may even like it better than mario 3. but back when mario 3 was new, wow was that amazing.

but did you use warp whistles?

without them, it's a pretty decent challenge. the second to last castle maze gave me some serious headaches before i found the end.

bowser's a fucking joke in mario 3 though.

and i would say yoshi's island is the most solid game of all of them, but it not all that much a mario game. it feels like more of the beginning of the yoshi series of games.

i really want to get mario advance: super mario bros 2 now. i haven't beaten that since i was 10.

speaking of spin-off series... anyone play super princess peach and have an opinion on it?

today i did, though i've beaten it without using them quite a few times (i've had the game for years and years now). the hardest level for me is #1 in world eight--not the tank, or any of that shit, but the one that is just number 1. i think it's the first one after you beat the airship and go through the pipe. i usually use a p wing to beat that level. the next one (in the desert with the sun) and everything after that is pretty simple.

that one is kinda tough. the castle i was talking about was really frustrating since i wasn't cheating and didnt know where the exit was.
