Post your favorite drinks, alcoholic or not.
Me and Raub were drinking down Sam Adams White Ales last weekend, they were absolutely tasty. And they got Rauble trashed.

blue moon isn't too bad. hefeweisen and hoegaarden are both delicious as well. though the slight edge goes to hoegaarden and their white ale.
blue moon is great with an orange slice!
I'm a wine lover. And a michelob ultra girl. And I like anything with good tequila.
Though I just took a few shots of gentlemens jack a little while ago, and have been sipping on captain and sparkling cider, which is surprisingly pleasant. I like alceehol.

Hoegaarden > Blue Moon > Sam Adams White Ale
But they are all delicious. I wish I could get Belgian brews at every bar. Tonight I'm going out to dinner with my parents, and I will drink much Blue Moon.
Yuengling Lager is my favorite standard beer to get at bars. Yuengling Premium is amazing, but I never see it in bars.

sapporo has been my favourite beer for a while now. too bad it isn't cheap..
molson export and rickard's red are my usuals. and every now and then i'll get some northern ale when it's available to me--gotta support the hometown brewery. tuborg and stella artois get honourable mentions.
now i will start another list! beers that i do not particularly like [even though taste doesn't make a bit of difference after you've had a few]: heineken, grolsch, dab, molson canadian. thumbs down!

haha wow, if you kids have any questions about beer, ask me, my dad is a brewer.
sam adams white is so good because it's so different. it's an unfiltered beer, which is uncommon except for some microbrews.
has anybody had tilt yet? it's an alchoholic energy drink made by Anheuser bush.... and personally i think it's terrible, i don't know if you can actually buy it yet or if my dad just got it from work. it's just entirely too sweet for me, but my dad, my brother, and my bro's fraternity all like it.
me? i'm an iced-tea drinker. good old unsweetened iced tea. but if i have to say an alcholic beverage... most dark beers, and white wine go over just fine with me.
raublekick
04-07-2006, 10:36 AM
DO NOT MENTION TILT IN THIS HOUSE. ONLY SPARKS. DRINK SPARKS.
I forgot to mention Lionshead. It's not really the best beer or anything, but it's $10 for a case of bottles, and it tastes so, so, so much better than anything at that price, and it's better than the Miller/Bud/Coors/Etc... stuff.

My favorite unfiltered beer comes from Germany, at the local Bad Windsheim brewery. It's delicious: Windsheimer Reichsstadbier naturtrüb.
I haven't developed a taste in American beers because I just turned 21, and have only been getting cocktails or cider at bars so far.

Wtf, I have never ever seen yuengling anywhere near atlanta. The only time I get to drink any is when I go see my friends in NC. :(
If any of you are ever in the atlanta area (or chattanooga), you gotta look up a Taco Mac. Its a bar/restraunt that has at least 50 different types on draft (or however its spelled) and hundreds of different bottled types. Im not 21 yet, but im 23 in alberta canada and I love Taco Mac. :)
Edit: and the taco mac near my house does NOT have yeungling. Bastards. I also just checked with my taco mac and we have exactly 100 types of beer on tap.

Well, I live not too far from where it's made, so I should hope that I can find it. Around here if you ask for a lager, you get a Yuengling Lager, because most people around here don't think there is any other lager, or at least don't consider them important.

Ok ok, i'll expand...budweiser still...i always go back to it. Yuengling is good too, usually when my friend and i go to the cinema cafe we get a few pitchers of icehouse/yeungling.
I was drinkin on bacardi-o and coke lastnight, that was good. Don't drink a lot of liquors though, i don't drink a whole lot anymore period actually..

johnny
04-08-2006, 06:29 PM
liss are you drunk!?
i don't drink liqour so much. pretty much the only mixed drink i'll have occassionally is a [white] rum & coke. i like to drink a rum when i'm at my camp in the summertime, out in my boat trying to catch fish on a nice sunny day. and a ceasar is a good drink too, but i could never bother to make one for myself. vodka + clamato + whatever other shit they splash in: works out to be pretty good usually.
and when it's serious party time i'd never turn down a shot of tequilla or jager. a tequilla shot is good every now and then.

That's right, can't forget about the J
no, i'm not drunk right now. I was just reflecting about all the alcoholic beverages that I love so much, margaritas and bloody marys, mojitos, sangria, shiraz, chardonnay, mich ultra, corona, blue moon, champagne, bushwhackers, madras, bay breezes, rum punches...It's hard to pick favorites! I hung out with two girls last night who don't drink, who HATE all alcohol, and I just kept thinking..."but it's so damn good." And then I started wondering if they were more normal than me or not.
Jello shots, irish coffee, strip and go nakeds, black russians, dirty martinis, shots of sauza or 1800 with salt and lime.............at least i hate white zin and jager, so I'm not a complete drunk...?
I'm bored.
And yes, making out sounds fun.

whiskey rocks for the win. chase with a beer.
top 3 beers: Bud>MGD>50
Budweiser is only good Canadian brewed though. Ive been to NY and your 30 packs dont have nearly the kick as our 24's. god help you american lite beer drinkers, must water the shit down even more. too ashamed to even put the alcohol percent on it. i ended up drinkin labatt XXX, 7.0% i think. i told the 'merikans it was normal Canadian beer. hell, they were even dumb enough to think i was my older brother. or nice enough not to care...
as for cheap beers, labatt genuine (draft) honey is good. lucky is sucky. i usually end up getting this au gratis cause nobody else wants it, or by stealing it when stupid drunks arent looking.
Labatt extra dry, or "mortal kombat beer" for the fire spewin dragon on the label, used to be 24 for $24 and 5.5% to boot! hopefully they bring that deal back this summer.
Coors light: never bought it, excluding times when ive split on pitchers when shitty bars only have molson products. drink it all the time, its a good chugging/hangover/work beer. im kinda surprised at how much ive drank for how much ive paid. plus its an in/out beer. 1 in, 2 out. i fuckin piss like no other on lite beer. fuckin corona must be recycled mexican piss or something.
molson canadian sucks, and export gives me a headache. i can't even think of other crap they brew.
can't wait to go on a tour of the labatt brewery, $5 i think. hopefully they let you do taste testing along with the free shirt at the end. just hook it to my veins!

belgian white beers are meant to have a slice of orange, where corona needs a slice of lime

Budweiser, Coors.. if its a hot day Rolling Rock. Bud select with vodka works. Guinness ONLY from the tap. The bottle is just a travesty, and the can needs a 10-minute pour to truly approach the tap. Rocket widgets and c02 aside.. so many beers are made obsolete by throwing back a few pints from tap.
Beer.. I love it but its like having coke around with friends over. (not the drink) Plus you need your own variety. I really cant stand drinking out (too expensive) or drinking at a friends 'cuz most of my friends drink that nut brown ale crap. And light/lite. Ech! Its 95+% water as it is, in 'merica. They always give me the WTF look when I pour vodka/whiskey into my beer. Lightweights.
Lessee.. mixed drinks. Really only Guinness Draught and Jack or half/half jack and bailey's. No ice, babe. Make it in the shaker with ice. Pour. There ya go!
Besides that, lately I've been neglecting my booze rack and tea shelf for the Gevalia Signature blend 3/4 with skim 1/4 and filtered water. (coffee)
Inbetween replenishing energy and electrolytes I've grown partial to that new Vault energy drink. Makes a good mixer and its still 2 for a dollar at the local stores.

Go to Google Video, type "Black and Tan" and watch my video.
That's my favorite tasty brew. Smithwicks - Guinness.
There's not a better drink than beer. I had to make a decision a few months ago ... I'd either give up soda or give up beer. Gave up soda, they're roughly the same health wise.

Beer is an acquired taste when you're young. Because you cant get anything on tap from a real bar, OR you dont have enough money to get anything better than a 40. (liquor stores are pretty pathetic unless you live on the nice side of town or you go downtown/near an airport)
So that leaves supermarkets and older brothers with ID's.
So lil D.. why o why dont you like booze? Man cannot live on hard liquor alone.

i think most beers taste fine bottled. there are a few (like you mentioned guinness) that are much better on tap, but otherwise i think bottles are good. i don't really like drinking beer out of cans, though.. too.. canny. but sapporo is still good from a can. a, like, 650 ml can, or whatever the size is that they come in.

I want to comment only becuase I think I have tasted a large amount of booze, and yes I have!, tonight in factiod. So here is my list. I personaly ythink therre is not best brew it all depends on situation and fuuck me in the ass if I say that but there is only a best brew per occation. I.E.(in example, for you yups, or yupies) Like if your having a BBQ you should have shitty ass redneck beer 16 oz. milwalke(?) pounders, or budwieser, they have class but they suck. College frat party Natty Ice or some local cheap ass beer would be perfect. A sparks party only sparks would be acceptable. I think you get my point all beer tastes like shit but there is a best beer per the situation. I know that is kind of anti climaxtic so I leave you witrh my favorite beers that seem to fit the mold of best malted liqour at the time....1. Pilzner Urquell the first pilzner( the most advanced form of brewing) made in the czech republic 6.75 a bottle average very good. 2. Guiness Stoudt just fucking amazing what else is there. 3. Yuengling judt cause I can drain this bitch anytime of the week. 4. Corona amazing beach beer any fruit mixed with it just makes it taste like heaven in a handbasket. 5. Sammy Adams cause america rules even if our government sucks. 6. BEER in general it is so amazing it is fattening, poisonous, adictive, colorful, effervesant, and aromatic there is no god but if there was he wouldnt even be able to make this shit! God blees us everyone! Oh quick side not I wanted to add hoegaarden only because I spent some crazy ass amount of money on it before 11.75 a pitcher I think?, and I got a few of them but it is amazing, see this just goes to show if your in the mood that specific beer will be the best beer in the world for those few seconds/minutes it takes you to finish. I feel I should give a shout out to Red Stripe I love you even if I spill you and you smell like pure man ass, spill it I dare you!

boxed wine stands!!! WOOOO!!
Well let me just set the record straight it wasnt truely a "boxed" wine stand. I ripped the bag that is filled with wine out of the box then we proceeded to do the "bag out of the box wine stand". You know so that is what I meant to say we would get the patent on, and not the boxed wine stand which I am sure is common place.
Oh and just FYI alot of bars actually have boxes of wine you know for the people who dont say a specific type of white, red, or blush wine, they just give them something "out of the box" so it is cheaper for the bar, though I dont know about anything other then american bars.

The thing about boxed wine is it isnt' the sort of shit you drink on its own. My friends and I have made some great sangria with boxed wine. It's all about ingredients and toning down the cheapness of the base ingredient through the flavors of the others.

I 100% agree. Some of their special brews are nice (White, Winter, Summer, etc...), but most of it just doesn't do it for me, especially the plain old Sam Adams.
They have very smart marketing ... and if you asked like 80% of people to name a Microbrewery, they'd name Sam Adams ... even though they haven't been a Microbrewery in like 20 years. The requirement for being a Microbrewery is like 12,000 barrels a year... they make like 2 million each month.
And their beer isn't very good, it's a slight step above cheap piss.

A nice, relatively simple concotion: cut one pear into small pieces, and place in one-two cups of sherry. Soak for a few hours in the 'fridge. After enough time, pour sherry sans pears into a glass, mix 1:1 with applejuice, sprinkle with pear pieces/slices for aesthetic element. Cinammon optional.

beer is the only thing we have on those damned japs!
i haven't had a tasty brew in a while, i've been longing for some lionshead though.
Last night, I drank about a pot of coffee with half a bottle of Amarula. Anyone else ever had it? I discovered it in South Africa, where it originates. It's good, sweet, great in coffee, kind of like Baileys. Then my wrist was hurting so I took a lortab, and watched 10 episodes of Family Guy with guy friends (and two episodes of Ren and Stimpy), and couldn't stand up straight, and baked cupcakes. And here I am at 7:45 AM, skipping class even though I got up for it, still thinking about the 23 year old fucker who is dating my 17 year old sister and the various ways I want to murder him and detach his testicles.
I could go for a coldbeer. Yessir.

He told her to keep it a secret from me...I mean, I've known him much longer then she has (like, as in, she was in 5th grade when we met). But word gets around and it's not going to be a good feeling for him when he finds out I know.
Do you guys date underage girls?

I only date girls that have the same birthday as me. I was pretty much in love with a girl who's birthday was the day before mine, but things just didn't work out.

I dated a 16 year old when I was 19, but we were cerebral equals. She had been involved in someone who was like 29 before I came along. I don't know... I don't see these things necessarily as evil. 17 is old enough to date a 23 year old jerk

I dated a 16 yr old for a little bit and that ended pretty quickly. I think 17 is my limit but older is preferred. I just feel weird when I go "oh this is my date" "How old is she?" "17..."
that and 17 is possibly still in highschool which weirds me out because the kids that were freshmen when I was a senior just graduated this year. Which would mean when I was a senior, she would have been in 8th grade.

the age gap doesn't bother me so much, but i can't fathom dating girls who are still in highschool now since i could be a college graduate. it's just like... completely different attitudes and stuff.
there's this girl now who i think i have a good chance with, and she's 20 but she looks really young. even that bothers me.

did I mention he deals coke?
It would be one thing if I knew him to be a good guy. I myself have been involved with, uh, much older men. However, since I was 14 I've known this guy to use and abuse girls, drive drunk, sleep around, and talk about his girlfriends like they're dirt. He's the type of guy I myself would never date (although up to this point, I'll admit that we were semi-friends, co-workers).
I just had to watch my cousin get pregnant at 17 and have a child to a drug dealer fathering his baby from jail. And my best friend was pregnant at 18 and now has a newborn and a ten year old step-child. And of the ten of my colorguard girls from high school, five have children. I have enough "nephews" and "nieces" for now---I can't handle it happening to my baby sister.
