I guess it wasn't much of a surprise to people that the X-box lost MS so much money early on? Eh, high production cost, but they thought that it would balance out with the purchases of MS-made games.

The X-box has lost the company 4 BILLION dollars since it's release in 2001.

sweet fucking jesus.

but they'll just keep throwing money at it until it works, since they think they can win these console wars.

though sony keeps trucking, and nintendo is able to stay profitable. and there's really only 5 or so games worth having for the xbox.

That's a lot of money, even for Microsoft, which Forbes also says has a war chest of $40 billion in cash.

Holy shit, with that much money you think they could do better...

Go Sony

Can't wait for the new consoles to come out...gotta keep myself from spending...but, if I do buy one, I may just be starting with the.. *gasp*, Nintendo console, after I see how the game download system actually works, if I can download old-school NES/SNES/etc games for free (well, the ones actually put out by Nintendo), then I might have to jump on that.

surprised to hear you wanting a nintendo system, donnie.

i'm glad they trying something different, personally. xbox360 just looks a like a shinier version of the xbox to appeal to an ipod generation with disposable income.

i don't know much about any of the new consoles, since i won't be buying any of them, but from what little i do know nintendo's seems to be looking the best. i think the new controller looks pretty nifty, but it'd probably be weird for some games (how would i play hockey with a remote!?).

i was expecting the new sony and microsoft consoles to, more or less, be repackaged ps2s and xboxes, respectively. (but i could be wrong?? you guys know more than i do)

(how would i play hockey with a remote!?)

go grab a tv remote. now, hold it kinda like a hockey stick. slapshot, goal, fun.

a hockey game. >:0

the new games have more moves and puck control features and shit, and the button setup on a remote would be awkward, i think. but i'd still give it a chance.
