UBB moved away from CGI because CGI is old, expensive, and useless. UBB now uses "UBB.threads" a php/mysql solution.
heX ... do you own your own server or are you renting from a hosting company? If you are renting, do they allow php and mySQL?
For another alternative, some boards are in ASP or XML.
i talked to mike on aim and gave him ftp access.. if anyone has any input let me know.

if your server is a windows server you could try an asp-based forum like this one (http://forum.snitz.com/) or maybe another one but i don't really know any others by name.
ill look into it. if you knwo of any others that dont need a database (think thats where im having my problem) let me know.
im pretty sure im at the bottom of mikes list of things to do so if you can help let me know aim sn:Mox

I've never heard anything but praise for XML
i might try that out. i cant get anything to work im going insane.
I thought it was a linux server?
it doesnt allow files that start with a period so we are assuming its windows.
how much will it cost to get some one to get this working on my current server?
finally got nuke and phpbb working just got phpbb up right now though http://ergraiders.com/board
