NY Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2005/05/04/arts/television/04come.html?ex=1272859200&en=6c08458b36d1de64&ei=5090&partner=rssuserland&emc=rss)

Long time Daily Show correspondent Steven Colbert will finally be getting his own show on Comedy Central, it was revealed this week. His new show, "The Colbert Report", will be a spoof of popular over-opinionated hosts such as Bill O'Reilly who have become quite popular for their over-the-top antics. The show is expected to follow "The Daily Show", and hopefully be more worthwhile than what is traditionally on after it (i.e. crap).

For those that do not know his resume, he is a contributor to several Adult Swim shows, including the excellent Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law and The Venture Brothers, in addition to his past work on Saturday Night Live, Strangers with Candy, and those stupid Mr. Goodwrench commercials. Though his correspondent pieces will be missed on "The Daily Show", this new show has a lot of promise.
