are there any other sm or pavement fans out there? his new album came out ~2 weeks ago, and i downloaded it last night. i'm digging it so far. the title track is pretty epic.

so if'n you ain't heard this yet, git out there and buy/download it!

yes. i love pavement. so much. i've never really checked out much SM stuff other than what's on the Matador at 15 compilation. i've been meaning to check this out, just haven't really had time or money.

also i found out not too long ago that Mark Ibold is the bass player for Sonic Youth now, don't know how I missed that juicy tidbit.

well, here's the torrent (http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3990923/Stephen_Malkmus_-_Real_Emotional_Trash)... it downloaded in a flash, as there are a bunch of seeders. face the truth is the only other sm album i've heard entirely, and it was pretty good too (a few of my friends who didn't like his earlier solo albums actually really liked face the truth, so it might be worth a download).

i hadn't heard about mark ibold playing with sonic youth either. the sonic youth catalogue is a mixed bag for me, pretty hit and miss. but that's neat that he's playing in such a high-profile group.
