I just found out today that my workman's comp has been denied..that's why I never heard anything on my appt to see an ortho-specialist about my shoulder. As of right now I'm being forced on to short-term disability though I can dispute the denial after I receive the paperwork...I'm just a tad bit confused at the moment, but really, REALLY fucking mad.

Corporate America 1 - Donnie O, where the O is a really gaping wide asshole, cause I just got fucked over.

Yeah, I'm sure they think that's the reason, I need to wait for the paper work in the mail to get into it, time to fight the system.

my crew chief got denied workmans comp after being blinded by a fluke firework that blinded him for a month or two, he was on duty at the time and was watching the fireworks near the fairgrounds. Its funny how an ambulance can ride to a hospital with its own crew chief on the cot.

that does suck, and I'm sorry, corporate america likes teh ass.

2+ months later, and...well, my short-term disability just ran out, so now I get to go onto a "Family/Medical Leave"...unpaid, of course. My doctor is starting to seem a little sketchy, but he just doesn't remember part of my arm motion problem, straight out to the side, I can move it about 45 degrees, sometimes more, so I'm having my second EMG done on the 10th, and after that, an MRI. I'm guessing that will be in the ballpark of $600-700 out of my pocket for the 2 tests. I just need to get back in touch with human resources to find out what I have to pay per month (or per pay-period) to keep my medical benefits going.

All that money I had saved up for a rainy day will surely come in handy, the floodgates just broke.

Yeah, you could say that, or, same shit, different day. Just need to watch the money for a while and keep fighting this shit.
