Yeah, I'm going to have to be at my summer job at 7:30am M-R.

M-R?

I'm hating my job right now too..ever since I got injured on valentine's day, I've been on a light duty shift, 8am-5pm M-F, doing random bullshit because I'm not capable of doing heavy lifting, etc.

I'm getting an appointment scheduled with an orthropedic doctor Monday or Tuesday hopefully, the only thing that hasn't been done so far is an MRI, 2 weeks of physical therapy, which the head therapist admitted to me it looked like my shoulder was getting worse, good times.

Oh well, I haven't had a stretch of Sundays off like this since before I started working when I was 15.

Monday through Thursday. I'm sure I'll be waking up pretty earlier for the weekends for my second job, though.

I sleep in more during the school year than I actually do when I'm home.

Meh, I still get up at 6:30AM for class most days. It doesn't bother me too much.

But yeah, work sucks, no matter what the job.

My class schedule is ... 10:30 - 2:30 M/W/F (with an hour break in between), and then ... 2:30 - 3:45 on T/R (just one class, .. metaphysics).

When I work during vacations, it's from 8:30 to 4:30, M - F... When I work during the school year, it's sporadically a few hours a day, two or three times a week. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I occassionally work at the Courthouse.

Work does suck. I worked 2 jobs at once a month back and though I made alot of money it was pretty nerve wrecking. Now I work one cooking job and I'm on break for a week, which has so far involved getting as crunk as I've ever been. Right now I'm watching sea lab with my brother and his friend, drinking "flying fists of rage" (red bull, jager, and OJ), sierra nevada pale ales and jager bombs.

Get crunk.

yeah... so i've been feelin really good about life right now. you guys all bitch about your jobs.. and i have two sweet ass jobs with easy hours and good pay. it does suck that my parentals make me pay $300 a month in rent, and for all my food/ transportation/ fencing... and "misc. expenses" it's just good i can pay it, and have a life. fencing lessons + dvd covers= good money

yeah.. i dunno.

Yeah, I'm not necessarily bitching about my job right now..just the current situation.

It's getting to the point where I actually miss working out in the field, I'm sick of light duty work. What gets me, is that there's no rush on "fixing me" because it's a worker's comp issue, and since the company has to pay for all these visits, they've been trying to do it as cheaply as possible, sending me to the doctor for refills on my motrin every week (though one doctor is my fav, she's given me vicodin, flexeril, and darvocet so far), then they decided 2 weeks of physical therapy would be good, there's more time down the drain, oh well, I still get paid the same now as I did before I got hurt.

i don't even have the luxury of bitching about a job, I've gotta find a good paying one for the summer or else i have to go back home and live with the 'rents for another 4 months... ugh!

Fortunately the local rub'n'tug is hiring...

if you can't find a job in london, your chances of working anywhere but a call center in sudbury are pretty bad. :P

i guess i'll be getting a real job this summer. i'm looking forward to not being a student anymore.

Aww, Stormy, it's nice to see someone being a dick while I'm away...I feel all warm inside now.

A penny saved is a penny earned!

thecreeper
03-15-2005, 10:22 PM
it's true. i saved my pennies i randomly had from around the house and in my pockets from circa 1988-2003 and ended up with $83 in pennies.

still dont think it was worth it, but hey, free money.

i'm more or less self-sufficient by now. just need to get some serious education then i'll be set. i just wish i was 18, because then i could sign for my own appartment. right now... i can't.. and it's making me mad that i still have to live at home.

raublekick
03-16-2005, 09:40 AM
i can sign for my own apartment, i just can't afford it... i can't afford an apartment with multiple roommates either

johnny

maybe you should try living in a shoe, raub.

or some sort of cardboard shanty.

thecreeper
03-16-2005, 12:42 PM
don't listen to him, me and raub and the rest of the good-evil crew are all gonna live together one day and be all happy and gay and such.

johnny
03-16-2005, 02:07 PM
..in a really big cardboard shanty? you could even make a good-evil shanty community. i could build a fort there out of sticks, but i don't have any cardboard right now..

GT2000
03-16-2005, 06:05 PM
Yeah, sometimes people ask me why I'm still at home, and they scratch their heads when I tell them how much a month I drop on bills. I could afford an apartment @ around $700-900/mo by myself, but I would have to eat ramen on a daily basis, so instead I choose to have cheap rent, save a bunch of money in the bank for now while I pay off my debts, and eat well.

raublekick
03-16-2005, 06:30 PM
Yeah as much as living at home sucks, I don't have any debt or anything like that. I haven't taken any loans for school (just State and Federal Aid), and I don't have a credit card.

Cid

I'm a "Software Specialist"...which means "everyone's bitch"...it's great!

Never move out. I just got a new car, and life would be a lot easier if I didn't have to pay rent/groceries/utilities/whores...it's nice to live on your own and all, but don't be in too big a hurry.

...unless you're a pre-teen billionaire...

Stormy

...unless you're a pre-teen billionaire...
But only if you've asked the internet, and it agrees.

teensupernothing
03-17-2005, 09:33 AM
with the amount i'm making now i could afford an apartment at $900 a month, and eat well... i'd lose some little luxuries for a little while, since i'd need to buy a bed, couch, ect. ect... but i wouldn't have to tap into my savings at all.

being at home when your parents like you is one thing, being at home when you get death stares every other second, and you never know if there's gonna be a fist in your face, or a foot up your ass.. that's entirely different.

my non-biological parents will let me re-do the basement, and make it almost an apartment... there's a seperate entrance and whatnot.. so i'd never see them. that's looking like my best bet besides moving in with my biological parents, but that'd involve switching schools, and possibly damaging their younger children. i couldn't imagine that.. being like.. 3 or four, and having this girl who's babysat for you come live, and your parents having to explain that? i can't do that to them. i love my brothers and sisters too much, and i don't know how well i could get along with my biological parents for long periods of time. there's still that awkward "you didn't keep me" wall between us...

anyway. i'm working it out. basement seems like the best idea, as of now.
