Are you sure, I remember joining in early 98, back when it was just the interact board. I'm pretty sure the board was around in 97. Maybe only err...Father? was the only one around then, with a few other people. But maybe you right (not really) but still what other "internet community" has been around this long. You can't say usenet, that's cheating.

As for me, nothing just hating work, and living. And trying to get this goddamn Vanguard saga of heros to install.

Damn.. I can't remember now, I know I joined Dex actively middle 99.. and yeah, I got married in Sept.. I think stinson got married to, and vanished, heh. Yup, still doing the cable gig, and gettin paid. Vanguard.. I played the beta, but, didn't get into it, reinstalled ffxi and wow to play around with tho.

Oh, as for the rpg, go to headquarters and you should have the option of starting your char. You get xp for doing those monster fights, as well as challenging members, though it's hard to find those of similar levels since I don't think there's a built in search feature. Plus you get very little exp for posting, 1 per post. It's cheesy, was thinking about uninstalling it yesterday as a matter of fact, might end up having to when I upgrade the forum, hopefully soon. I had found my dex drive receipt and it was dated dec '98. This site says the release was 9/30/98, so the forums opening in 99 would make sense. After years go by, peoples "timeframes" get blurry, I know mine does.

I bought my DexDrive shortly after we got them in when I was working at the arcade, back in the day. I don't remember exactly when I bought it, but it wasn't long after it came out.

And I joined the Dex community shortly after that. Then they frigged around with whatever software they were using on the bulletin board, then I think they merged boards with gameshark.com, and that's when I stopped posting there so much. Then I joined Deks whenever it was started.
