I figured since this is Good-Evil's psuedo forums, I should post that we are now listed in GameRankings with our reviews. For those that don't know, GameRankings is a huge site that compiles reviews from every system on many sites, the only catch being, you have to submit with so many reviews archived to be a part of the site. They have already added our 150 some game reviews to their archive, so this was a pretty big step towards being a more legitimate site.
Check us out in their latest additions to the site: it's nice seeing our name on there:

yeah this place is it, and thats ok with me. we cant support a forum since we dont really have a 'following', so this place works fine.
but yeah, exciting stuff.

it's ridiculous how fast our hits have increased compared to every other month since they put all our stuff on the site. it's easily triple the hits per day...crazy.
I'm not sure if I understand your rating system. A "Classic" is a 8.5 - 10, but a "Great" is 8-9.5? So a game can have a score in the "Classic" range, but only be a "Great"? I understand that the correlation to the number based systems is only for comparisson sake...but it's a little confusing for the reader I think. Love the site though, shame I hadn't really checked it out in the past.
Congrats!

well, because they won't accept our standard grading scale:
Classic
Great
Good
Okay
Poor
Terrible
we had to assign each one a number value, out of 6. so we end up with classic = 6/6, or 100% and terrible = 1/6, or 16%. and of course everything in between. it's not the way we really intended the rating scale for us, but if it helps get our site out to the people, i can handle a little misinterpretation of our ratings. Judging from the amount of hits our Halo 2 review has gotten (we gave it a Good, which equates to a 66%), i think some message boards and other fan sites have been a little up in arms about our 'low' score. heh.
good to see you around cid, haven't seen you on here for a bit.

our review scale is meant to be a little more personal. we don't take a bunch of criteria, score it, and then average it or whatever. we just give it a rank as we see fit.
i dunno about the other reviewers, but when i review older games i add in a factor of how much people like it. I would give Street Fighter III a numerical score of 9.0-9.5, but since it isn't nearly as popular as SFII it isn't a classic.
